Lodge guests are welcome to play on four magnificent golf courses that offer a variety of terrain. The Mountain Course is the Hale Irwin Championship Course. This course provides the most challenging and yet relaxing round of golf you may ever experience. Colorado*s only mountain top course winds between towering aspen and firs with meandering streams and ponds throughout this par 72 course with 7,444 yards of championship play. The Tom Fazio Valley Course offers unobstructed views of the New York Mountain and Sawatch Range. This Par 71 championship course spreads across 7,079 yards and takes full advantage of the mountain and ranch terrain. The Summit Course opened August 2001. The Jack Nicklaus designed 18-hole course captures the true mountain golf experience. Situated at just over 9,000 feet above sea level, the Summit Course will captivate you with astonishing views and rolling greens. Our Dave Pelz Short Course will top off Cordillera*s golf experience as the most complete and exciting to be found in the Rocky Mountains. We also include cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and hiking on 17 miles of maintained trails. swimming, tennis, mountain biking, flyfishing, horseback riding, dinner sleigh rides and dog sledding also add to the enjoyment. Minutes from the community is white water rafting, kayaking and additional flyfishing led by a guide. The neighboring area is also known for its rodeos, jeep tours, snowmobile tours, ice skating, tubing and sporting clay ranges. The Vail Valley offers an array of cultural events including concerts, international ballet performances, arts and crafts festivals, wine tastings and much more. World-class downhill skiing and snowboarding is offered at Vail and Beaver Creek.
